This का अर्थ होता है ( यह ) और That का अर्थ होता है ( वह )
ये दोनों किसी वस्तु या व्यक्ति ( Singular countable noun ) की ओर संकेत करने के लिए प्रयोग किये जाते हैं ।
अगर वस्तु या व्यक्ति पास में हो तो This का प्रयोग करते हैं , यदि दूर हैं तो That का प्रयोग करते है ।
इन दोनों के साथ ( है ) की अंग्रेजी ( is ) लिखते हैं ।
Affirmative Sentence –
यह एक किताब है ।
This is a book.
यह एक कुर्सी है ।
This is a chair.
यह एक गेंद है ।
This is a ball.
यह एक बल्ला है ।
This is a bat.
यह एक प्याला है ।
This is a cup.
यह एक कुत्ता है ।
This is a dog.
यह एक बिल्ली है ।

That is a fox.

Note – (i) सभी Singular countable common noun के पहले ( एक ) की अंग्रेजी a / an ) लिखते हैं।
(ii) उपर्युक्त सभी वाक्यों में This व That – Demonstrative pronoun के रूप में प्रयोग किये गयें है।
(iii) इनका प्रयोग तभी किया जाता है जब अमुक ( वस्तु या व्यक्ति ) वार्तालाप के दौरान आंख के सामने हो और हम उनकी तरफ संकेत भी करते हों ।
